For little lamps to give of warm little glows to make the grey days outside all cosy inside.
Coffee to start the morning. It had to be. Not normally a morning coffee 'gal but it was cold and wet and dark and depressing on the school run and I needed warmth. Tea, or fresh ginger steeped in hot water, usually my morning choice, just wasn't going to cut it today somehow. To top it off, I put a loaf of bread on in the bread maker this morning. A total cliche, but the smell of fresh coffee and freshly baking bread together, simply cannot be beaten. I feel like snuggles and comfort today....so baby bear and I are having a snuggly sofa day...cars for him....crochet for me......and the odd bit of tickling!!!!!
Thanks so much for your colour comments yesterday! It was fab to find out what colour likes and dislikes you had! There were some of you who put your case forward for lilac love...there were others, who like me, had least favourites in orange and lilac. But, I was talking to a friend about this and she made me realise that actually, when I say I hate orange it is really only a particular shade and likewise on the purple, lilac, mauve scale. I guess we all have our likes and dislikes....and wouldn't the world be a very boring place if we were all the same!
Happy weekend to you all!

Looks like a very cosy corner, and although I am a tea drinker mainly, sometimes you do really need a good cup of coffee!
ReplyDeleteLove the cup :)

ReplyDeleteSounds like a perfect day .... I can't do without my morning caffiene fix!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely cosy phots, it conveys your words brilliantly! I used to drink the ginger in hot water when I was pregnant (to help the morning sickness), I've not had it for years must give it a go again.

ReplyDeleteYou're pictures are lovely today, and your description of coffee and fresh bread scents have tipped me over the edge - Ive got a nice pot of tea on the go and an alarmingly big pile of biscuits...ah it seems I am also in need of some comfort today, of the foodie kind...easier to give in sometimes than be super healthy and miserable.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend! Lots of love
